AC Hill For President

Ok, so it's late, but I decided I'd blog it up before going to bed. I probably should have made it clear in my first blog, but my long lost friend whom I recently reconnected with, AC Hill, got me on this blogger thing to begin with. By the way, AC's a rather clever singer/songwriter who you should check out. So AC, consider this your shout out. This blog's going out to you, brother. Now get back to making international business machines work!

I ventured to Harris Teeter earlier this evening with my partner in crime, Alyssa, and we rented "American Gangster," with Denzel and Russell Crowe (RedBox $1 special - can't beat it!)... Seriously, in my opinion, one of the best movies I've ever seen. I know that is putting it out there, and it's probably just still "new" to me. I mean, I said the same thing as I was walking out of the theater after seeing Semi-Pro, but in retrospect, that movie was only mediocre at best. However, I feel like I'll be repeating myself about "American Gangster" for at least a couple months. Maybe longer.

So I bought an iPhone today. Yes, I am a Mac GEEK! But you're jealous, I know you are. I'm activating it in a couple days, so be on the lookout for me asking you for all your information - telephone numbers (all of them), address, mother's maiden name, the iPhone saves all that information in a fun little organized app. In the words of my F.G. friend, Erin: "Are you mad?"

Something else to comment on in my recent infatuation with the Urban Dictionary and it's Urban Word of the Day, which I am a subscriber to. Sometimes the words are kind of lame, but sometimes you'll get a good one... Here's some of my favorites over the past few weeks:
  • Ice Maker
  • UDI
  • Facebookable
If you don't know what these words mean, then just look 'em up!

Last but not least, one of my favorite bands of all time, Virginia Coalition, released a brand new CD today and if you do iTunes, I highly suggest you get it. It's called, "Home This Year," and it's a brand new approach for their sound contrasted alongside their usual Go-Go induced DC beat and party rhythms you're used to from these guys. Not to say that one of my favorite VaCo songs of all time is "Walk to Work." But this CD is definitely worth a listen - I guess I'll leave it at that.

Shout outs to Lil' Boo... I'm out! -bw
